Teleporting Care. Automating Chores
Milestones
Every household has a Robody
Care is just the beginning. By 2035 every household will have a Robody, liberating us from chores and allowing us to be physically connected, no matter the distance.
Scaling pilots & commercial rollout
Building on nearly a decade of full-stack robotics R&D, Devanthro focuses on scaling Robody Cares pilots and preparing for broader commercial deployment.
Testing with dementia cases and in care homes
Throughout 2025, we’ve tested Robody in 12+ care locations with hundreds of elderlies – including users with dementia – in more than 50 use cases. We also piloted Robody Cares for users with disabilities.

Latest Robody generation: designed for home care
After months of secret tests in four real homes, Devanthro unveils its latest Robody generation, purpose-built for caring at home.

World’s first home pilots with seniors
Devanthro runs its first dedicated home pilots with seniors, validating that Robody Cares can be integrated into everyday life in private households, making history. This is the first time ever that people have been living with humanoid robots providing physical help in their homes.
First in-home Robody Cares test on ZDF
Devanthro successfully pilots Robody Cares for the first time in a private home. The trial is documented by ZDF’s “plan b” show.

From Research to Real Homes
Pivot from bootstrapped tendon-driven humanoids for research to humanoids for home through care startup.
Roboy 2.0 permanently at Deutsches Museum
An early Robody prototype is accepted into the permanent exhibition of the Deutsches Museum in Munich – the world’s largest science and technology museum.

Roboy 3.0 is done
A step change from Roboy 2.0, Roboy 3.0 was fully developed by the Devanthro team. It was more capable, easier to build and much cuter!

Devanthro is founded – from student team to R&D company
Building on years of Roboy R&D, Devanthro is founded in Munich. The team sets out to sell anthropomimetic robots – e.g. to partners in Oxford who use them still today.

Roboy 2.0 complete – the first musculoskeletal humanoid on a bike
Roboy 2.0 was the first musculoskeletal humanoid robot (with muscles and tendons like humans) to drive a bicycle.

Roboy student team at TU Munich is founded
Every year 20 – 50 students of TU Munich joined the Roboy student team to work on cutting edge robotics and prove their engineering prowess in open engineering challenges.

Roboy is born – the roots of Devanthro
Roboy, an advanced humanoid developed at the University of Zurich, is publicly unveiled. This anthropomimetic robot project becomes the technical and philosophical foundation for Devanthro’s future Robodies.
